Smokey eyes a style of eye makeup application in which dark eyeshadow is applied to the top and bottom eyelids and blended for a dramatic effect (often used attributively): the perfect smoky eye; gorgeous smoky eyes; a dreamy smoky eye look. The Smokey eye became famous in the 1920's as women looked to the black and white movies in Hollywood for style inspiration. Make up used for the big screen was not only dramatic but also dense in colour and tone making the figure on the screen appears as if she had black eyes and black lips.


Black and brown smokey eyes are flattering on everybody. Even those with smaller eyes can look great with a smokey eye, the key is to not go too dark and to apply a lighter color (or highlight color) in the inner corner of the eye.

2. Everyday Makeup


Green eyeshadow is absolutely gorgeous! Green is a bold color, though, so most people find it pretty intimidating to work with.

Green eyeshadows will nicely complement brown eyes. I recommended matching the hue to your eye color in this case. So chocolate browns will look nice with rich emeralds, and lighter browns pair nicely with mints.
